Our WAFFLE TOTE is more than just a bag - it’s a story of renewal, care, and sustainable craft. Designed to accompany you daily, and also perfect for travelling, its wide straps carry heavy items comfortably without shoulder pain. Each Tote is lined and features a small interior pocket for your essentials.
Made from leftover fabrics, every WAFFLE TOTE is one-of-a-kind, carrying pieces that have lived previous lives - some from past collections, others inspired by heritage craftsmanship.
The straps are made of traditional ASO OKE from Nigeria, a thick handwoven fabric with a texture similar to canvas or denim. Mostly woven by the Yoruba people in southwest Nigeria, ASO OKE stripes are traditionally sewn together to create durable, expressive textiles.
This Tote also reflects Buki’s meditative, improvisational approach to patchwork, where making becomes a practice of storytelling, renewal, and care. Handmade slowly and intentionally in our Berlin studio, each WAFFLE TOTE continues a collective narrative of mindful, sustainable making
